The studio is in a suite of studios at 56 Bogart Street inside a non-profit art space across the street from the Morgan Stop on the L. It is shared with one other artist who is not there much. The monthly total is $560 which includes the space rent, electricity, water, the bathroom maintenance, high speed wifi and liability insurance. I'm open to discussing arrangements. Move-in anytime this month. Short-term (minimum 3-months) or long-term available. I'm looking for someone to join us in the space who don't need to make a big messes often. It's an open space, so dust and fumes are really the issue. This is a great space for someone who draws, paints, does graphic design or photo-based work ideally. We are so far a drawing-based artist from Belgium, a sculptural video artist who is an nyu alum who runs a non-profit and me, photo, film, video-based. With you we will be four professional artists in the suite in total. About the space: The ceiling are high. The walls are white and recently painted. There's a clerestory of window providing natural light while also maintaining usable wall space. There's a deadbolt lock and then our space is locked separately. Very secure. I haven't made any adjustments to the space but, we can talk about adding walls or adapting the space as needed. Perks of the space: 24/7 access. There's a long hallway for coats and bags. A clean, well-maintained bathroom. A mini fridge and microwave. Plenty of chairs to borrow if you have visitors. The biggest perk, 56 Bogart: There are openings and events at throughout the building every month. There are really nice people at the non-profit that houses us and in the community from artists to gallerist to art lovers, which can create opportunities and will definitely grow your art community. There's food options and really good coffee across the street and, of course, lots of bars and amenities within a couple blocks. The location is undeniable.
